Q1: Can this case be soaked in water for a long time?
A: This product has an IP67 protection rating. It will not take in water when exposed to brief splashes or shallow water immersion, making it suitable for outdoor use on rainy days. However, it cannot withstand prolonged continuous deep water immersion.
Q2: Can a padlock be fitted onto the latches?
A: The latches are pre-drilled with standard lock holes. You may install small padlocks as needed for safer storage in the wild and anti-theft protection during logistics delivery.
Q3: Can the pressure relief valve be removed and left unused?
A: Removal is not recommended. The pressure relief valve balances air pressure inside and outside the case. It prevents negative pressure from sealing the lid shut during air transportation or in high-altitude environments, and it is fully installed at the factory.
Q4: Can the foam inner liner be replaced separately at a later time?
A: Yes. Empty cases and inner liners are sold separately. Replacement foam can be shipped individually once the original foam ages or wears out, eliminating the need to replace the entire case.
Q5: Will the case become brittle and crack under low winter temperatures in northern regions?
A: The case is made of cold-resistant modified PP material that retains its toughness even at -30°C. It will not crack upon impact during regular outdoor winter use.
Q6: Will equipment shift around when placed inside an empty case?
A: Equipment placed loosely inside an empty case cannot be secured. Custom milled EVA foam is recommended, with cutouts shaped to match your equipment to fully eliminate shifting and collisions.
